This Yarnall Family’s Fyrstekake recipe had me intrigued from the moment I saw it. I had never had Fyrstekake before. This, combined with liking all of the ingredients, equaled a desire to try it out. This dessert is “cake like” just as described. It is moist and has a great texture from the food processed almonds. I also really enjoyed the interesting flavor that the cardamom gives. I think that this tart would be perfect with a hot cup of tea for breakfast or dessert. It was a fun change from typical dessert.
