I love food magazines. Primarily because they make cooking, with recipes that are perfect for the weather and make use of seasonal ingredients, so much easier. Of all the food magazines out there, Bon Appétit has become one of my favorites. The recipes are the just right challenge and they interest my easily tired taste buds. About a year and a half ago, I started attempting to make as many recipes as I could from each month’s issue. I've been wanting to blog about these attempts for a while now and was recently inspired by a friend who started her own food blog (Dishing out). So here it is...my blog that is dedicated to all Bon Appétit recipes (with notes on how your everyday home cook fairs).

This Cold Sesame Noodles with Summer Vegetables recipe sounded great but just didn’t have as much flavor as expected. We had a difficult time getting the veggies sliced thin enough and the noodles got lost behind the chew and crunch of the raw veggies.
